We collect the following categories of information when you use FoodTrigger AI:

- ✓Meal logs: Food photos, AI-detected ingredients, and any manual edits you make to meal entries.
- ✓Symptom logs: Symptom type, severity ratings, timing, and notes you enter when logging how you feel.
- ✓Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and error events — used only to improve the product.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to:
- ✓Provide trigger food analysis by cross-referencing your meal logs with your symptom logs.
- ✓Generate personalized AI-powered insights about your symptom patterns.
- ✓Send logging reminders and product update emails (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- ✓Maintain and improve the accuracy and reliability of the service.
3. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer your personal or health data to any third party for advertising, marketing, or commercial purposes. Your health information belongs to you. Period.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Convex (convex.dev), a cloud database platform with enterprise-grade security, encryption at rest, and encrypted data in transit.
Access to your account is protected by secure authentication. Only you can view your meal logs and symptom history.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the product:
- ✓Convex — database and backend infrastructure
- ✓Vercel — web hosting and deployment
- ✓PostHog — anonymous product analytics
- ✓Reddit Ads — website activity measurement for advertising effectiveness; we do not send meal logs, symptom logs, or account email addresses to Reddit.
We do not sell, rent, or share your meal logs, symptom logs, or account email address for advertising or marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@foodtriggerai.com.
Upon deletion, your meal logs, symptom logs, and personal information will be permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
FoodTrigger AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of FoodTrigger AI after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
